Energy advice – from energy label G to passive buildings
Looking to achieve energy savings in a building? This requires architectural, installation technical, and environmental technical knowledge. Our energy advisors conduct research, make calculations, and provide customised advice for residential and utility buildings. We do this for existing buildings, renovations, and new constructions.
ENERGY PERFORMANCE AND BENG REQUIREMENTS
New and existing buildings must meet minimum requirements for energy efficiency. LBP|SIGHT is BRL 9500-certified for preparing energy performance reports and registration with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). We have several advisors with the required diplomas to prepare these calculations. Using the NTA 8800 determination method, we establish the energy performance of buildings, and demonstrate whether a building meets the BENG requirements for Nearly Energy Neutral Buildings. We assist you in energetically improving existing buildings using the NTA 8800. We also support you with BENG calculations and the energy performance report for applications such as an environmental permit or energy label. And we make net heat demand calculations for the energy performance compensation (EPV scheme).
‘NUL-OP-DE-METER’ AND PASSIVE BUILDINGS
More and more parties have ambitions to realise ‘nul-op-de-meter-gebouwen’, passive buildings, or similar projects. Although the type of building may differ, these projects have in common that they are very well insulated, consume little energy, and generate as much energy as possible. Our energy advisors support and guide you in these projects, using tools such as the Passive House Project Calculation Package (PHPP) or the certified NTA8800 calculation packages.
INTEGRATED ADVICE
Energy is often related to other architectural topics, such as daylight admission, insulation, ventilation, and material use. Therefore, our energy advisors work closely with colleagues in the fields of building physics, building acoustics, and fire safety. We do this in the design process but also regarding the delivery of a building, for thermographic research and measuring light intensity, temperature, ventilation, and air permeability of buildings. With this, we ultimately also test the delivery quality of a building from an energy and building physics perspective. We can combine this with a check of the sound insulation (acoustics) and fire safety. In this way, you are assured of integrated advice.
