Enough space for development
Spatial development revolves around creating a sustainable living environment. Whether you are a real-estate developer, organisation or private party, LBP|SIGHT supports you in acquiring spatial permissions for sustainable development.
With the implementation of the Environmental Law (‘Omgevingswet‘) on January 1, 2024, municipalities will draw up an environmental vision for the entire territory. Project developers, companies, and other real estate owners must present their own vision and interests clearly. Their future development must fit within the environmental vision to be established. It is therefore important to follow the development of a municipality’s environmental vision. Furthermore, planning and environmental rights are regulated in one (legal) process under the new Environmental Law.
Due to the many interests surrounding a location, the increasingly scarce space in the Netherlands, and changing legislation and standards, spatial planning is often a complex process. LBP|SIGHT supports spatial projects in a multidisciplinary manner. For example, the municipality must be convinced to agree to the spatial changes before the procedure can start. There are also agreements and contracts needed to properly regulate collaboration and cost recovery. Our advisors in the field of spatial planning, land matters, sustainability, and the environment therefore work closely with the initiator and the authorities.
We are happy to assist companies and other (private) initiators with spatial explorations, arranging agreements with the municipality, legal advice and land affairs, spatial justification, environmental impact reports, and the necessary participation of stakeholders.
